The border between inside and outside fades away. Foreign architectures from Mexico till Marrakech are a new inspiration for a modern interior design, their terracotta colour pallet, oxidized metal and natural stone optics. Seek for the contrast in one room with coloured concrete, brushed brass, brick and terrazzo. Then soften with round shapes and velvet.

A warm and flamboyant atmosphere has an immediate impact on the feel and experience of a room. The summery colours make you happy and passionate. Play in your interior with a mix of tropical colours and authentic optics like metal, wood and minerals. You get the nature inside with high tech materials that look like they’re oxidized and weathered: as if they’ve been shaped by years of sunshine, wind and rain.

BRICK and TERRAZZO

We see the revival of stone structures, terrazzo and terracotta colours. The weathered look of metal makes the outside atmosphere in the interior complete. You find ethical vibes throughout the space whit accents in the colours turquoise and orange. In the bathroom the contrast is bigger with rough finishing on the walls, smooth materials used for bathtubs and coloured sinks.

FOLKLORE PARTY

This modern-ethical interior surprises with folklore elements, tropical colours and plants and handmade furniture from rattan, metal, wood and coloured glass. Remarkable is the combination between wall decoration of wood veneer with terrazzo optics and brass metallic materials. Traditionally made tiles with a graphic design or shape that reinforces the authentic character.

HASTA LA VISTA MEXICO

The colourful architecture from Mexico inspires the interior design. Half high walls with see through, wings line ups, high-low effects in positioning of walls and split levels give a modern-ethical twist to the experience of the interior. Tropical wood structures like the Nørdus Autumn Larch go well together with colour accents like turquoise and purple.

STYLING TIP

Balance this interior trend with accessories which are peculiar in shape and structure. In design art is a renewed interest in the use of natural materials like shells, sea urchins, driftwood and seaweed.
